Great Cooking and Food Finds for Wrapping Up 2008!

I’m always looking for cool new cooking products, as well as tasty and healthy foods. Three recent discoveries are helping me see 2008 out in style and good taste!

First, the Totally Bamboo Tropical cutting board, shaped like a pineapple.

Why I like it: its small yet effective as a cutting board and makes a great addition to a serving table for purposes such as providing your guests with cheese and a cheese slicer. Bamboo is natural, and a totally renewable resource, a rarity in this day of products with scary constituents!

Also in the category of natural foods is the latest from Amy’s Kitchen. Delicious and healthy, Amy’s Kitchen food products are made without preservatives, additives, and other harmful chemicals. My favorites include the new organic spicy chili, light in sodium. Its safe for those of us with hypertension and has great flavor. Also newly introduced, the light in sodium organic split pea soup warms your tummy and delights your taste buds with perfect blend of spices and veggies. And put this on your must-sample list: Amy’s Kitchen Light in Sodium Shepherds Pie. Low fat, meatless, and dairy-free, this hearty dish offers wonderfully seasoned vegetables and blissful mashed potatoes.
